Energy FM Australia is a radio station that is dedicated to the Electronica genre of music. It is the only radio station of its kind located in Tasmania and the only one of a few located in Australia. Our programming is broadcast free-to-air in Hobart on 87.8 FM and streamed online to the rest of the world.

Our programming consists of locally produced content that is complemented with syndicated programs from major content providers from all over the world. This combination is what makes our programming appealing to our local, national and international audience. As we are always wanting to evolve our programming, we welcome proposals from individuals and organisations wanting to present programs on air.

Non-stop dance music programming is not featured on any other free to air service in Tasmania. Having such a service available makes Hobart equitable with other Australian capital cities in terms of the diversity of locally produced content that is available to the community on free to air radio. It also encourages our audience to support locally produced dance music content - rather than seeking content from other sources.

Energy FM actively supports and promotes Australian produced content ahead of content from other parts of the world. The radio station gives creative producers, performing artists and program presenters the opportunity to broadcast their content on both our free-to-air service and our online services.
